For a friend

I keep on telling myself to focus but my thoughts are nowhere to be found;
Trying to ignore what I feel but my heart insists strongly like it really doesn't mind.
I know it's surely difficult, yet it still keeps on shouting so loud as if everything can be taken so easily;
Making its way to find its one true love so dearly.

Could this be real love or it's just an infatuation?
Could this be more than what I have felt even before?
My heart's genuine desire is only full of thoughts about seeking for a clue;
How can I not pay attention when in fact, I certainly want no one but you.

My impeccable affection, I present unto thee;
Asking for nothing in return, as long as your happy.
Eventhough I know you like someone else already;
In my heart, I will forever  cherish the time  and the memories of you and me.

A taste of Korea

Last  April 22,2011 (Friday) while I was walking  along the streets of Ampang, I came across a Korean restaurant named B Station and since I'm Korean-dish lover, I decided to try out their menu. I ordered kimchi chige and a glass of ice cold milk tea. The service was really great because the owner himself personally entertained the customers. His assistant, a guy from Myanmar, is also very polite and accommodating. Aside from the excellent food that they serve, the ambience there also deserves a recognition.

Here are some of the pictures taken inside the B Station restaurant. You can actually have a taste of their specialty that varies from different rice and beef mixes, desserts and sandwiches.

A walk to remember ( not the movie) ;-)

An hour (or so) after we had or pork sinigang, we decided to go out for a walk and unanimously agreed to  go to Pasar Seni.

At the Central Market in Pasar Seni ( with Lennard)

We even met a Filipina who is originally from Vigan, Ilocos Sur and happens to own a small souvenir shop in Central Market. She has been residing here in Malaysia for 25 years already.

There were a lot of cute stuff and souvenir items to choose from, whether it's for pasalubong or for personal use. Ofcourse, we've been walking along the streets like there's no tomorrow so we really got tired. Good thing, Roy suggested that we should atleast experience a little pampering by way of having a  fish spa! ^_^

Lennard, having his fish spa

Lennard, Roy and me at Central Market Fish Spa

Yeah, I know that fish spa services are actually well-known  in the Philippines. But, too bad... I never experienced that back home ( poor me)...

I really had fun! Those fishes ( 2 different species ), which I forgot the names,  were quite amazing! Eventhough they're really tickling, I find them super effective as a stress reliever.  We only spent  RM 5 for the 10-minute service. Isn't that worth paying for? ;-)

The next thing we did was to walk ( again ) to another place and found a spectacular scenery ( which you can appreciate more at night ) .

Our pork sinigang ( Pork in sour broth) ^_^

April 23, 2011... Black Saturday.

 I never thought that this day would be something special for me to cherish. I started the day by waking up at 9am  but I eventually managed to get up from the bed around past 10 o'clock. Two of my buddies, Jill and Ange, got back to the apartment here in Malaysia ( from Singapore) that same day. After some chit-chats, I  was able to get myself ready to visit my workmates' condo unit in Millenium Square, PJ. I stopped by in a Korean shop and bought some kimchi and soju ( my favorite Korean combo) before heading to their place.

Roy and Lennard are very courteous hosts.They even prepared a mixed fruit shake when I arrived at their condo. After few minutes, Roy and I went to the market to buy the ingredients for the day's recipe. Around six in the evening, we were eating our very first PORK SINIGANG for dinner in this foreign country. I know, we shouldn't have  eaten this kind of dish especially during the Holy Week...But what can we do?We're dying to have a meal that will suit our taste... ='(

A novice's note

Hello everyone!

Welcome to my blog site! ^_^

Let me introduce myself first. I'm  Christina Marie Flora Miranda. I am currently working here in Malaysia as a Workforce Specialist.I've started to work here just  a month ago.I love to travel, make new friends, write poems /song lyrics and surf the net. I hail from different cities in the Philippines like in Tarlac, Pagadian City, Ozamiz City and the NCR. I hope you will enjoy browsing my page and everyone's welcome here and feel free to send your comments, okay?

Before anything else, I would like to make a special mention of a friend who introduced this new learning experience to me. Roy Joseph Navilla Ang,  thank you so much!!! OMG! It took 24 years of my existence before I finally created a blog site of my own. Pathetic isn't it?!

Well, anyway, the reason I created this is because I would like to keep track of precious memories from time to time. Not to mention, the all-new encounters I'll be dealing with here in Malaysia. As the saying goes, "better late than never". Am I right? So, expected a lot more travel updates, pictures and even videos ( once I discovered how to) in this site.

Today is  a Good Friday ( Holy Week). Unfortunately, here in Malaysia, we don't celebrate it. But the spirit of Christianity is still alive in our hearts.

There's so much in the world to be thankful for. And this new experience opened another exciting chapter
of my life.

Hope to hear from you guys!
